How much does a QR code menu system cost in India?

Software fees, printing, payment charges and commissions — the full cost picture for Indian restaurants.

The four cost buckets

QR code menu price in India is easiest to understand as four buckets: the software subscription, one-time QR printing, payment gateway charges, and commission (if the vendor takes any). Most confusion comes from vendors who advertise a low subscription and then charge a percentage on every order.

Software subscription

This is the recurring fee for the digital menu, the kitchen screen, order history and analytics. Flat monthly pricing per outlet is the friendliest model for small restaurants because the bill does not grow with your busy months. Watch for per-table or per-user pricing, which quietly scales up as you grow.

Printing and hardware

QR codes print on ordinary paper, stickers or acrylic standees, so the one-time cost is small. You do not need a POS terminal or KDS hardware — any tablet, laptop or TV with a browser works as the kitchen screen.

Payments and commissions

If you accept UPI or cards through the menu, the payment gateway takes its standard percentage. That is separate from the software fee. Ask every vendor one direct question: do you take a commission on order value? A commission-free platform is almost always cheaper once volume grows.
